AIA Piedmont Architectural Scholarship

The AIA Piedmont Architectural Scholarship is offered to a high school senior, who has met the requirements for graduation from a high school located within the boundaries of the AIA Piedmont Section (Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham Counties) and has chosen to study in the field of Architecture.

The recipient of the scholarship must be accepted to an accredited architectural program by May 1st to receive the scholarship. The offer of a single one thousand dollar scholarship will be used to help supplement the tuition cost for a student attending a College or University and majoring in an accredited Architecture Program. The award of the scholarship is not to be based on financial need of the applicant.

AIA Piedmont Section is currently the only Section of the NC Chapter that has a scholarship program. It will be awarded to a student at North Carolina State University College of Design and University of North Carolina at Charlotte School of Architecture.

Alvis George Memorial Architectural Competition

The Alvis George Memorial Architectural Competition is open to Randolph County and City of Asheboro High School students interested in the field of Architecture.  Held annually, the competition awards the winning participant paid tuition to North Carolina State University’s College of Design’s Design Camp during the summer.
